Doug McGlade
Doug McGlade, known to many as Dougie, has been involved with Tuart Place since 2010. A proud Noongar man, Dougie was taken to St Vincent’s Orphanage at just three months old, before being sent to Castledare and later Clontarf. At 16, he was sent to work on a farm in Narrogin.
Doug began work with Western Power in 1980 and remained with the organisation until his retirement in 2013.
He has maintained strong friendships with the Clontarf boys and is a familiar face at Tuart Place events, often volunteering for barbecuing duty. Doug is the proud father of one daughter and two sons, a grandparent to three girls and two boys, and a great-grandfather to Isabella.
