In September 2019, the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry asked Tuart Place to submit a report on the impacts of child migration on Scottish former child migrants. The Report has informed the Inquiry’s 2020 investigation of child migration.

The online version of Volume 1, Case Study no. 8: Child Migrant’s Experiences, forming part of the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry, has been published. The personal stories of many Scottish former child migrants who gave evidence to the Inquiry at Tuart Place are featured in this report.
